Sir Grifflette

There were actually 2 Griffin type knight names.

1) Grifflet

2) Grifflette

They were two characters in Le Morte d’Arthur (The Death of Arthur) because they both showed up in the same paragraph to help the king. Ever since reading that, I could not get the image of a little Griffin as a knight out of my head.

I couldn’t draw it, which gave me an excuse to play around with my new-ish drawing tablet.

I also couldn’t give the image of the lady of the lake giving Excalibur to Arthur (though not directly). So I sketched that and am working on painting it. It’ll be done soon…-ish.
