Eldritch Pompeii

At GenCon two weekends ago (July 31st - August 3) I played a ton of games, both tabletop, card, and RPGs. One TTRPG I signed up for was a game system called HOME. Every player is a character, and each player takes turns as the GM. You get to make up so much of the game, put it anywhere and at time you want, it just takes place in a “haunted house” setting.

While trying to think of when and where to set the setting, Sugs made an offhand comment for Ancient Rome. To his slight disgruntlement, we took the idea and ran with it. Setting it pretty soon after Mt. Vesuvius exploded in 79 CE. The villa that we went to investigate was miraculously untouched and has a weird chanting on the wind. THIS IS WHERE THE STORY BEGINS…
